DIGI & MONDINI

For the past year DIGI\Teraoka have been working closely with Mondini, Italy on a radical new concept design which will incorporate weighing and printing directly on to film within the Mondini Trave unit.

Development for this design took place at Teraoka in Japan, for the robot printing arm. Digi Europe for the weighing and integration within the Trave. Completion of the prototype design was made at Mondini’s headquarters in Italy.

The concept was shown for the first time at the recent Interpack exhibition in Germany in May 2011.
Major industrial food producing companies were invited to visit and view the new concept idea which received positive feedback and was a great encouragement for the project team.

Final design changes are now being undertaken and it is anticipated that the first production units will be produced during the first quarter of 2012.
